Potentially Contaminated Sites
The transfer of ancient facilities and ancient industrial lands requires a study of the risks of contamination of the soils. The permitted facilities have now to manage the state of their soils.
The methodologies of assessment of the risks of contamination of the soils and of the impacts on health are today limited by the representativeness of the sample of the analyzed samplings. By definition, what is underground cannot be seen. It's not because nothing has be found that there's nothing. It's not because some contaminated samplings have been found that the whole site is contaminated.
Our method is based on an operation truck including a probe equipped with sensors linked to an on-board laboratory. The presence of pollution by hydrocarbons an organo-halogenated is detected in real time.
This information allows to:
- Optimise the samplings and the laboratory analyses because it's known in real time where are the contaminated areas
- Cartography in 3D the underground: contaminated areas, geological layers, water table
